Project Management

When it comes to project management every organization says the same thing - "We utilize Projects Management Institute's (PMI) Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK). Our project managers are PMI certified Project Management Professionals (PMP), etc. etc." It makes anyone think "What makes an organization provide a better project management service than the other?" At Kyber, we strongly believe that the PMBOK or any other project management guide brings in the best practices and proven processes for the project managers to use. However the field experience, ability to adapt to changing needs and skill to navigate the projects in the right path in a social-political environment are the key factors in delivering successful projects.

The unique nature of each project demands the knowledge necessary to utilize the required processes and at the same time eliminate unwanted processes and activities. The project management practice at Kyber has its roots in strong communication planning, leveraging proven processes and continuously improving those processes to yield the expected results. Our management style is to empower the project managers and provide them with a library of project management assets. We have created a project management culture that gives greater emphasis to communication. Having a clear and open communication is key to success of any endeavor, our project management practice has its keystones from the saying "eschew obfuscation, espouse elucidation". Our approach is structured to help our customers, management and other stakeholders have an unobstructed insight into the state of the project at any time in the project life cycle.

Our project management practice encourages the use of credible tools for analyzing requirements, estimating resources, measuring work progress and implementing Earned Value Management (EVM). We have been successful in creating a link between accounting systems and the work break structure to calculate Actual Cost of Work Progress and a realistic model assessing Earned Cost of Work Progress, which simplifies the development accurate EVM reports.
